Andrew Zimmern on Maine Lobster Pot PieSometimes you feel kind of silly when you find out that someone said nice things about your restaurant and your lobster pot pies and you didn’t find out about it until a few months later.  That’s the situation we found ourselves in when we heard that The Travel Channel’s Andrew Zimmern complimented us on his food column, “Chow & Again” in Mpls.St.Paul Magazine way back in September. Better late than never to correct our wrong… From his column, “On My Radar: Oysters Galore, Don’t-Miss Chef TV, Urban Ag, Lobster Pot Pies, and More” from September 19, 2012:

My dad lives in Maine. And I love the Kennebunk Inn….This 200 plus-year-old property right in the heart of Kennebunk was remodeled in 2008 and has 18 guest rooms and eight family suites . . . and a great restaurant, Academe. Cat Cora put these folks on the map thanks to the Food Network TV show The Best Thing I Ever Ate, selection of the Maine lobster pot pies from chefs Brian and Shanna O’Hea. Big news! Now they are shipping across the country these days. Just go to; they are great and everyone is always asking me about those types of Maine treats and in the fall in Minnesota…
