Kettle Pizza brings a wood-burning pizza oven to your backyard

Kettle Pizza and Maine Lobster PotPie

As chefs, we can’t get enough of innovative cooking tools. One thing that has always been on our wish list has been an outdoor, wood-burning pizza oven. We imagine nights spent around the oven with our dear friends, stoking the fire, creating custom pizza doughs, and experimenting with toppings to find exquisite new flavor combinations. There would also be wine.  And beer.  There’s no point in creating new pizza taste sensations without working on our beverage pairings in tandem. We are professionals after all.

Alas, one look at the mountain of snow outside our back door in March tells us that Maine’s just not a practical place to invest thousands of dollars in an outdoor pizza kitchen. The grilling season is simply too short.
